Reissue Watkins Dominators are fitted with Celestions G10 Vintage Loudspeakers which sound excellent - but for the purists, we can now offer 15 Watt speakers fitted with an AlNiCo magnet based on the original English ELAC design an optional extra.

Original Watkins Dominators were fitted with English made ELAC speakers.(ELAC is an abbreviation for the original speaker makers name, Electro Acoustic Ltd). These 15 Watt units with AlNiCo magnets were fitted to many English amps in the 1950's and early '60's. This reverse engineered  speaker has the same specifications as the orginal, in fact the cone is still made by the same supplier - probably from original tools.

A modern generic frame has been powdered coated "ELAC grey" and fitted with a small custom made Alnico magnet of the same as original spec., with a 1" voice coil and a card gasket this brand new speaker offers a true representation of a 1960's loudspeaker in sound quality.

Each of these speaker are individually hand built in the UK. The option cost for upgrading a Dominator is 117 GBPounds inc. VAT
